The wait is finally over… March’s The Scouting Report is released!  The latest Rawlings Power Rankings are included!

The University of Houston team bounced back from a Game 1 loss on Saturday to earn a series win following victories in games 2 and 3. The Cougars were led by the heroics of Patrick Brosch on the mound who earn both win in 13 innings of work with 20 K’s. Cole Mann was also 7-9 from the dish for the Cougs in the wins.

Tulane showed toughness this weekend against a top D1 team in FSU. That was most apparent in the efforts of Gray Halliburton who had his nose broken in Game 2 but returned for Game 3 and went 3-4. The Green Wave head into conference play next week against Rice.

Stephen F. Austin has faced tough competition during the non-conference season and it paid off big time in their first conference weekend against TAMU Corps. The Lumberjacks dropped Game 1 but battled back to earn wins in Games 2 and 3 behind the hitting of Jonathan Fletcher and the pitching of Michael Coronado.

TCU took to the road this past weekend and the Horned Frogs delivered with a 3 game sweep of conference foe LSC-Tomball by a combined score of 14-7 in several close games. The 3-0 conference start puts TCU at the head of the class after one weekend of conference action.

The top 3 hold steady while Montclair State makes its first appearance in the Rawlings Week 14 DII Top 15 Poll. Next Poll 3/14/13.

Texas A&M Corps dropped all 3 against rival Texas A&M despite strong efforts from Stuard Hogue and Will Pace.

Tulane takes 2 out of 3 in lopsided games against Lee College. The Green Wave was led by Adam Friedant’s stellar pitching.
