After sweeping Florida Tech this past weekend, the University of South Florida has locked up the South Conference within the Dixie Region . The Ohio State University (DII) snags the #1 spot in the Rawlings Preseason Top 20 Poll after receiving 10 first place votes. 3 other teams also received first place votes while a total of 46 teams received votes as a whole.

PACIFIC REGION -TEAM PREVIEWS
Defending Regional Champion Arizona State (DII) returns after an impressive 2017 run. After two tough 1 run losses at the World Series, you can bet their hungry to get another opportunity out in Kansas. Returning Regional Playoff qualifier San Diego State looks to build off their strong 1st season in the NCBA. The Spring season will bring a lot of competitive and exciting baseball.

NORTHERN PLAINS REGION -TEAM PREVIEWS
With last years World Series Runner-Up & defending Regional Champion now in Division I, the Northern Plains Region is wide open for the 2018 spring season. Returning Regional Playoff qualifiers Wisconsin (DII), Northern Illinois & South Dakota State will push to make a return trip this year. After strong fall seasons Toledo, Ferris State, Grand Valley State & North Dakota State join the mix in hopes of making a postseason run.

ROCKY LONE STAR REGION -TEAM PREVIEWS
Texas A&M CoC has become quite the powerhouse within Division II. Dating back to 2012 they have made the World Series 4 times including a Championship run in 2014. Anything less than another World Series appearance in 2018 will be a disappointment for the Cadets given their recent success and expectations.
Returning Regional Playoff qualifiers Metro State, Houston CC & UC – Colorado Springs are all looking to not only return to the Regional in Amarillo, but take the next step and qualify for the World Series in Kansas. With all 3 conferences being loaded in talent, it’s going to be an exciting Spring season as countless others will try and stand in their way.

NEW PENN REGION -TEAM PREVIEWS
With 2017 World Series Champion Slippery Rock now in Division I, The New Penn Region is wide open for 2018. 2017 Regional Playoff qualifiers West Virginia & Penn State will look to make a return trip to the postseason. The big story from the Region is Cal (PA) and their 12-0 start to conference play this past fall – which has already clinched them a spot in the Regional Playoff. SUNY Buffalo (10-1) & Akron (8-1) also lead their respective conferences and look to lock things up this spring.
