Austin was raised in Livermore, California just east of the bay area. After playing on many successful and competitive teams at a young age, he was named a 2x USSSA All-Regional team in 2009 and 2010, and a USSSA All-American in 2010. His greatest accomplishment came in 2011 when he was the only player from California to be chosen for the USSSA 18u national team. The team would go on to win the gold medal after playing against 8 other countries at the Houston Astros spring training facility in Kissimmee, Florida. Austin is a recent graduate from California State University, Sacramento after majoring in Mass Communications. He is a huge fan of the NCBA and enjoys staying up to date with scores and stats from teams and players from around the country. In his spare time he enjoys playing and watching sports such as football, baseball, basketball, and soccer while following his favorite teams the Dodgers, A's, Lakers, Sharks, Rays, Vikings and 49ers.
